Purpose of CCM
The Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) aims to coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of proposals for funding from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. It is the entity that receives and distributes funds received from the Global Fund. The CCM ensures that the resources provided by the Global Fund are utilized effectively and efficiently to fight these diseases at the national level. The CCM also promotes inclusive, multi-sectoral participation and collaboration among various stakeholders, through its membership, which includes government, Key populations, multilateral partners, academia, faith-based Organizations, communities affected by the three diseases, private sector, Bilateral partners, and non-government. Its primary goals are to enhance transparency, accountability, and country ownership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria, and to reduce the impact of these diseases through strategic planning and resource allocation.
